Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed exploring the Downs, particularly the area surrounding the Long Man of Wilmington and have long been fascinated by the history and mythology of chalk hill figures. The path in this image leads from nearby Wilmington Priory to the foot of the Long Man and is a favourite walk of ours.
