immortalised on a pad of paper!

Back in July 2023 Lawrence Art Supplies ran a competition for artwork to appear on their bespoke art pads. I’m so excited to say that my linocut “The Plantation” was selected to grace the covers of their Fabriano Unica printmaking paper. You can now buy these pads from their website by following the link below:

THe Artists bridge

I’m pleased to report that 2 of my linocuts have been accepted to be reproduced on Eastwell Place Bridge (one of the footbridges over the Cuckoo Trail) in Hailsham. A competition was run for Artists to submit work to decorate the 66 panels on the bridge – there were 250 entries and my linocuts ‘Firle Tower’ & ‘Folkington Hill – after the harvest’ were among those selected. Also, daughter Melissa had one of her felt portraits of a badger accepted, so, a bit of a family affair!
The artwork is supposed to be vandal resistant and will be on show for about 10 years and there is also a virtual exhibition of the work: https://www.hailshamfestival.co.uk/the-artists-bridge/

A long view of “The Artists Bridge”

The bridge has been transformed by all the artwork and has been renamed the Artists Bridge. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a bit of a tourist attraction.

upcoming exhibitions

I’ve gone with a tree based theme for my display in the latest Sussex Arts Collective exhibition at Gallery Uno in Seaford.

The exhibition runs until Wednesday 28th February and also features my wife Liz (Fat Cat Designs By Liz) who is this month’s featured artist.
