This linocut shows one of the stunted oaks in Wistmans Wood on Dartmoor in Devon. This oakwood is one of the highest above sea level in England and is a pretty tough place for a tree to grow, hence the small size of the trees. My print shows the twisty, moss and fern covered tree growing amongst the rocks in this mysterious place.
